White Chocolate Pound Cake recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups butter
  • 8 large eggs
  • 12 oz. sour cream
  • 4 cups flour
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 12 oz. white chocolate, melted

Instructions

Preheat oven to 325 F. Butter the Charlotte Bundform pan. Allow butter, eggs and sour cream to stand at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Stir together flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. In a large bowl, beat butter until soft. Gradually add sugar, beating at high speed for several minutes, until well combined. Add eggs one at a time, beating on low speed after each one. Scrape bowl often. Alternately add flour mixture, melted chocolate and sour cream until just combined.
Bake on the middle grid for 60-75 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
