Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups whole milk
- 3 lg egg yolks
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 pats butter
Instructions
Before turning on burner, mix with wire wisk in large sauce pan - 1/2 cup sugar, 3/4 cup brown sugar, and 3 heaping tablespoons all purpose flour in large sauce pan. Add 2 cups, 3 lg egg yolks(save egg whites for later), well beaten, 1 teaspoon pure vanilla, and 2 pats butter. Stir and cook over medium heat until thick and bubbly, about 12 minutes. Let cool slightly, pour into baked pie shell and cover with well beaten egg whites(3 leftover)mixed with 3 tablespoons sugar added and beaten until stiff but not dry. Cover butterscotch pudding and make certain to seal edges. Brown in 400 degree oven about 5-7 minutes.
