Nonies Tamale Pie recipe

Temperature: 350 ° F

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 Can Cream Style Corn
  • 1 Can  Mexi Style Corn
  • 1 Can Peeled and Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 Can Tomato Juice (1 serving)
  • 1 Can Large Pitted Black Olives
  • 2 Cups Yellow Corn Meal
  • 1 Tablespoon Chili Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Ground Cumin
  • to Taste Salt and Pepper
  • 2  Medium Onions Peeled and Chopped
  • 2  Cloves Garlic Chopped
  • 1 Bell Pepper, Cleaned and Chopped
  • 1 1/2 Cups Grated Sharp Cheddar Cheese

Instructions

Brown Onions til golden, seasonings green pepper and hamburger in large Kaiser Bakeware LaTable Bake and Roast Pan, when browned add whole tomatoes and cans of corn and 1/2 olives (stir carefully so olives stay whole), bring to a boil, and take off fire - add corn meal slowly stiring and as mixture thickens add tomatoe juice by pouring on top and stir to mix well stir lightly to mix all together (gently).
With tomatoe juice, you may add grated cheddar cheese some parmesan cheese as well.
Add last half of olives put into oven 350' 30 to 40 minutes - Serve Hot
