Ingredients
- 1 package active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup baby bottle warm water
- 3/4 cup lukewarm milk (scalded)
- 1/4 cup splenda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup softened butter
- 3-1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 2 cups shredded pepper jack cheese
- 1 cup salsa
- 6 slices cooked ham
Instructions
Disssolve yeast in warm water. Stir in milk, splenda, salt,egg,1/4 cup butter and 2 cups flour. Beat until smooth. Mix remaining flour 2 tablespoons at a time until the dough is easy to handle Turn dough onto lightly floured board. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes. Plase in greased bowl. Turn dough greased side cup cover let rise about 2 hours or until double. Punch down dough turn onto lightly floured board. divide into pieces. Dip into melted butter roll in cheese place in Kaiser Bakeware La Forme Braided Ring Mold. Pat cheese into dough. Cover allow to rise until double. Bake 35 minutes. Remove from pan serve with salsa and ham.
